Black Friday

I ended up with more things than expected. Go figures, who could resist awesome deals! I headed to the mall a little before 6AM & the place was packed! Shopped for a couple of hours & then went back to the house & took a five hour nap to recover from staying up all night. Ha. Did a little more shopping downtown later that night. I'm glad  the lines I was in during morning/night were not long at all. Made the whole shopping experience on Black Friday seem just a regular day. Lol. & The Christmas tree in union square is finally lit! Christmas time is almost here! K, here's my Black Friday experience & awesome deals!

Bags full of savings!

Hot Topic - (removed picture) First store! Waited till it opened & grabbed the Hello Kitty shirt that was displayed. "Buy a special edition $9.50 Hello Kitty tee and get a FREE Lady Gaga poster" I'm glad this went on sale because I was about to buy it the other week. I love how she has all these food on top of her head! If only the rest of the shirts were on sale too, there's a handful of designs that I wouldn't mind having in my closet. As for the poster, I don't keep up with Lady Gaga, but I do love all that Hello Kitty plushies that makes up her dress! Saved $12.50 (w/o tax).

Little Twin Stars chain (TSN11) - Christmas Plush Ornament - Keroppi Memo Pad - Trinkets - The Strawberry News 11

Sanrio - Regardless of whatever promotion they had, I always have to make a purchase, even if it's as small as buying a piece of candy. Haha, I just love getting a trinket after my purchases :) They had a 25% off what ever you can fit into a bag by 10AM. That was simple since I didn't get much. Last year I got a really big plush & it was almost impossible to fit into the bag. Saved $3.44 (w/o tax). HA!

10 items for $10

Claire's - A deal only for Black Friday? Nope! I purchased from this exact promotion five years ago too, so I'm thinking  this happens quite frequent. I'm just not sure exactly how often. Check out your local Claire's boutique for this! Along with these eight sets of earrings, I also got two headbands. All these items were already on clearance, so I saved $65.50 compared to buying from original prices (w/o tax). What a great deal, indeed! ^__^

Love the patterns!

Forever 21 - Saw the $5 scarves & that instantly got me. Made out like a bandit with two lovely scarves. Saved $9.60 (w/o tax).

Michaels - I've been meaning to go to Michaels for the past months to buy frames for two of my posters. Looked at the Ads & saw that they had a 2-pack 12x18 frames. How perfect! The coupon I used was 25% off entire purchase, however there was a better coupon in the ad that was 50% off one regular price item. Too bad it didn't take effect until noon. Saved $2.75 (w/o tax). Two poster frames for a total of $5.24 is a pretty sweet deal! I'll take a picture of my framed posters after I put them up.

$5 Scarves

H&M - Came in here not looking for anything specific. Since I've seen online about their "Fashion Finds for $5" I wanted to see if I could find anything. Success, found some scarves and beanies, & of course I wanted the scarves! The white one I bought is a circle scarf, & the other one came from the guy's section. I asked the SO if he liked it & he did, so I gave that one to him. =) I'll be stealing that from him sometimes, since the colors are are gorgeous together! OHH, & the best part was they gave out $5 off next purchase cards! Haha, totally canceling out what we bought, so it was pretty much free. Saved $12.90 (w/o tax) compared to paying original prices. (w/o tax & free gift cards) Another great deal!

Kid's 50th Anniversary tee

Old Navy - Okay, this purchase... I think I overdid it. I bought a shirt from the little girl's section.  Couldn't help it, they had shirts that were Sanrio's 50th anniversary. It's really adorable, it's just I can't fit it. Lol. I'll give it to one of my stuffed animals... Saved $4 (w/o tax).

Overall, I made out pretty good. Found a lot of items for very cheap, & I never went above $11 (unless you add my two Sanrio trip ^__^) at each store. Pretty much just got Sanrio items, scarves, & earrings. Lol. Can't wait to see you next year, Black Friday! Maybe I'll actually save up this time for an external hard drive. The sales didn't end quite yet. Virgin America has another one of it's deals where some flights are as low as $39 (w/o tax & whatnot). It extends all the way til May 11, 2011, but you have to buy your ticket by December 6. I guess I'm going on a trip soon! :) My early present from the SO =)

How was your Black Friday?

Nails: Glitter

Originally I did a last minute Thanksgiving mani, but I ended up not liking it by the end of the night. I just took a picture of this one nail because I don't think I'm going to cover my whole nail like this again. I used China Glaze Solar Flare. This polish is one of my favorites for it's large hexs, along with all my glitter polishes with a clear base color. It's just a great polish to wear alone or to layer it up. This particular nail had a gray base, Orly Iron Butterfly,  but you can't tell underneath all the glitter chunks. & As you can see in this photo, there's so much bubbles from this nail polish! Good thing its not visible by just looking at it.

Happy Thanksgiving!

My original plan was to take pictures of every dish, but I stopped after two pictures. Haha, I started to get my plate of food instead xP Ah, there was so much food, too bad I was too distracted. A dish that was not well enjoyed by a lot of people was the eggplant lasagna. Haha, it was very different, but it was still tasty in it's own way. I still have a whole crab waiting for me! Just no room in my tummy -__- Anyways, I'm thankful everyday for the loving family & friends in my life =) Now time to figure out where I'm gonna go for Black Friday shopping. No lining up this year, it's too cold & I don't know what I'm going to buy yet. I'm trying to stay up all night, but I'm getting a little tired. Haha. Did you know the day after Thanksgiving is also Buy Nothing Day?

Too Old For A Happy Meal?

Who goes to McDonald's for a midnight snack? I do! I bought myself a Might Kid's Meal. Haha, only because I heard through the grapevine that the new Happy Meal toys were out. Yes, this month they have watches for Sanrio's 50th anniversary. Kinda bummed that it's watches again, like last year for Hello Kitty's 35th birthday. I still like it though! The watch is much better designed than last year! More holes, so it's really adjustable to wear, unlike last year where it was more for the kids (which it should be xD). Haha, does McDonald's know now that Hello Kitty fans come in all ages? Can't wait to collect them all!

Nails: Orange Madness

A little close to Thanksgiving & all I could think about is using brown, orange, red, or yellow for my nails. Orange was my weapon of choice. Hope everyone will have a wonderful Thanksgiving with their family & friends! =) I'm ready to see my friend, the turkey! Yum! The best part is using the leftover turkey for turkey salad. Can't wait, but before I can welcome Thanksgiving, I must submit my online homework by midnight. Ekk, I'm procrastinating now!

Oh How Street It Is - Orange Knockout - Extra-va-vaganza! on Orange Knockout - Oh How Street It Is

I used China Glaze Orange Knockout from their Wow Factor Collection for my middle finger, & China Glaze Oh How Street It Is from their Kicks Collection for my little & index fingers. These two nail polish are so much alike in colors when indoors, it hard to tell them apart unless you look really close. Oh How Street It Is has a creme finishing, while Orange Knockout is neon finish. I used three layers of the oranges for each fingers, & I personally like Orange Knockout better. You can really distinguish the two colors when you're out in the sun, but too bad I took these off already.

I love nail stickers! They're an easy way to spice up your nails without much effort, just peel & stick. Plus it's Chococat, how cute right? I used this sticker set earlier this year too. The sucky part about the stickers is that you can see the outline of the decal, but top coat does wonders to make the overall nail smooth. Nonetheless, still adorable to use. Now to remember to put all my other stickers to use. As for the glitter nail, I originally had Extra-va-vagaza! over Oh How Street It Is, but switched it to Orange Knockout. Not much differences though. I used four layers of glitters to fully cover my nail.

Don't they look so much a like?

Beijing Buffet

11/21 My family & I came here during dinnertime for an early Thanksgiving celebration with my older brother, since he will be down in Los Angeles. The food is your typical Chinese buffet food. The food tasted better than all my previous time of coming here because I actually took my time to eat. Normally I would stuff myself to see how many plates I could finish. Haha. It was a nice meal with my family though. Since we're all busy, it's difficult to have me & my brothers eating together with our parents. Is it just me or do you crave for the buffet food when you arrive home? I'm always like that. Not pictured is my plate with a piece of Korean BBQ.

I also love long beans & mushrooms!

China Glaze: Tangled Inspired

After seeing The Daily Nail's Tangled nails, I wanted to recreate my own since I also saw an early screening of that movie. The yellow nails represents Rapunzel's long long long hair, the two purples represents her dress, & the glitters represents the "stars" in the sky, the lanterns. Haha, I already had my thumb painted like that for almost two weeks, so the lantern idea just came to me randomly x) Tangled comes out Thanksgiving day!

I'll redo this look again in the future, this is not cutting it for me.
Solar Power - Spontaneous - Flying Dragon - Solar Power - (minus thumb)

I used China Glaze Solar Power for the base of my little & index fingers, with brown lines from Nail Star Two-Way Nail Art Pen & Brush. China Glaze Spontaneous on my middle finger & China Glaze Flying Dragon on my ring finger. Eekk, you can see the texture on my middle finger from going to sleep after painting my nails. & Sorry if it looks really sloppy, I was lazy & painted over my previous manicure! Haha xP

Flying Dragon ; look at the glitters!

(high flash) Coconut Kiss as base, Doll House, & Shooting Stars

Through the many layers of glitters, the outcome of this nail is still very smooth. Thank you, Seche Vite! I had this on for 11 days & it's still very intact & not chipped. You can see my nail growing though! I think I put 4 layers of top coat throughout those 11 days. Haha, but yeah I love love love this nail! It kept me distracted & was a nice sight to see while I was texting. =) Too bad I only blinged out nail though, I didn't want to have to go through the trouble of taking off all the glitter. One day I'll cover all my nails in glitters! I used China Glaze Coconut Kiss as the base color & layered it with China Glaze Doll House & China Glaze Shooting Stars.

Dong Baek

11/20 Yes, Korean food again! :) I can never get enough!  Met up with my cousins in the city to celebrate one of their birthdays. I missed them! Haven't seen them in years. Used the handy dandy Yelp app to find our dining location. We didn't know whether to eat Korean or Thai, & I guess Korean won. I picked a place by looking at the pictures available. Mmm, & of course once I saw the pictures with a whole bunch of sides (banchan),  our destination was set. Just three blocks away from their hotel, so walking was not a problem yet.

Cheese & Corn

This was complementary from the restaurant. When I think of melted cheese & corn, I instantly think of Mexican food. That was the taste I was expecting too, but I was wrong. This dish had a sweet taste to it. My cousin even thought it tasted like popcorn. Haha.

House Salad

Banchan

Normally when I eat at a Korean restaurant, I get about 6 different sides. This place gave us 12 sides, same amount used in Korean Royalty cuisine :) This is the second Korean place I've been to that gave 12. I need to go exploring more!

Spicy Squid

My cousin picked this dish. I would say this is my favorite one out of all of them. The spiciness & the squid tasted perfect. Ah, I did have a little trouble chewing on one of the bigger pieces. Darn my sensitive teeth from Friday's dentist appointment.

Beef Chap Chae

Spicy Chicken

Beef Kalbi

Soft Tofu Soup

This soup completed the whole meal. The forecast said that it was supposed to rain the whole day, but luckily it didn't start until the later afternoon. We were eating out hot & spicy meal, as we occasionally looked outside to see how hard the rain was. There were points when it was raining crazy hard, lighting appeared, & thunder could be heard. Good thing we were inside! The thing was, how were we supposed to get back to the hotel. We were thinking of calling a cab, but who knows how long that would have taken with the rain & traffic. We didn't realized how close we were from the hotel, so we decided to jog with our umbrellas. Good thing we all brought umbrellas! & We made it back in no time!

After heading back to the hotel, watched my cousins get ready for the club. Met their friends, friends of friends, and so on. A majority of the people did not know each other. It was all good company though :) It sucks a little how my cousins disappeared in the bathroom as they were getting ready & were helping their friends get ready. Haha. Too bad the SO & I are not 21 yet! =P

China Glaze: Mommy Kissing Santa & Twenty-Four K

I was feeling a little Christmassy! I'm wearing China Glaze Twenty-Four K & from the Holidays Collection, China Glaze Mommy Kissing Santa. Both colors has two layers, but I thought one layer for Mommy Kissing Santa was just enough, I just put two to cover up the part I missed. Hmm, I might need a new bottle of Twenty-Four K (one of my favorite golds in my little collection), I'm halfway done already! Boo. Now the hard part is actually finding that color, I'm not sure if it's still on shelfs. I got mine from the clearence section of Sally Beauty Supply.

Add caption
It bothers me how I still get nail polish stuck between the edges. I was hoping the shower would help me wash all my nail polish mistakes. I need to work on cleaning my edges, & stop being lazy with them. Haha.

Tangled - Rapunzel

(These are screenshots I made from the Disney website)

I watched Tangled the other day, a week before it comes out. I love Disney & all the Disney princesses! Rapunzel is my new favorite princess because of her long beautiful hair & the meaning of it through the movie! It makes me miss when my hair was a few inches away from my knees. I'm slowly, but surely growing it back out. Maybe not to that extent. xD Anyways, this film is a must see in my books!

i love you i love you more i love you most
