Foodies of March

Toyko Tempura House (Daly City)
I only go to this place for their lunch/student specials. Recently they moved two doors over & the interior looks so much better than its previous location. However, the same waitress that always ask for tip is still there -__-

Essie Coat Azure

I have been on the hunt for this polish & I finally found it! I have a weakness for blues! A lovely shade that reminds me of Cinderella's dress x) This color is Essie Coat Azure from their Spring 2011 collection. The picture that I took with flash is not color accurate, however the the one without flash is more accurate to what it looks like IRL, indoors.

Sally Hansen Concrete w/ stickers

Boo, my index finger chipped :( Anyways, this mani is Sally Hansen Concrete from their Xtreme line. The name so does not fit its "greige" color. I found this little gem in my friend's pile of nail polishes! :) Hehe, I might have to add this to my collection if I can find a bottle. After having my friend apply the nail polish for me (thanks, again!), I used her stickers! She should use them before I use them all one day x) Completed the look with China Glaze Matte Magic.

After putting a matte top coat on one of my manis, I've been adding it to most of them now. Haha, I love the turnout, but it's making me run low on matte top coat! Does anyone know another brand and place I can easily get my hands on a matte top coat, besides online?

Have a great day, everyone :)

Food: SmokeEaters

Do you guys watch "Man v. Food" on the Travel Channel with Adam Richman? Well, SmokeEaters has been on that show & Adam was able to beat food! They have the Hellfire Challenge where you can get your picture taken if you can finish 12 Hellfire wingers in 10 minutes, & then endure 5 minutes of "afterburn" with no drinks or napkins. Ah, & you have to lick your fingers clean afterward! Sounds like torture, right? The first time I came here, I saw a guy try the challenge & he was having trouble after two pieces!

Of course I didn't come here for the challenge, I came here for their Wingers Tuesday! 50 cents wings from 6-10PM. I got Honey Honey BBQ, Fiery Garlic, Nuclear, & Traditional Death. I'm slowly trying to ease my way to Inferno, but the flavors dies down after Traditional Death.

China Glaze Four Leaf Clover

One of the many greens I did for St. Patty's Day & the last for this month. This mani is China Glaze Four Leaf Clover from their Up & Away Collection. I found this polish to be extremely hard to capture the accurate color. & Again, this is another Up & Away color that I didn't always have a smooth application with.

Drew green diagonal lines on my nails, didn't like it so tried to cover it with China Glaze Lighting Bolt from their Crackle Collection. I'm not sure if I like the turnout, but the lines did make an interesting crack.

China Glaze Lemon Fizz

Since spring is finally here, I shall be wearing more pastel colors! This mani is China Glaze Lemon Fizz from their Up & Away Collection. Such a nice light yellow! However, I found the application to be a little streaky. Besides that, I love this collection & it was the first one I completed! :) You'll see more of this collection in the near future!

ChG Cracked Concrete over D. Green

This mani is LA Girls Matte in Dark Green w/ China Glaze Cracked Concrete from their Crackle Collection on top. The label for the LA Girls says it's a dark green color, but it looks more dark teal to me. It was also one of the two matte polishes I bought at Forever 21. When I first tried a matte polish, I was so amazed by the result! Haha. & I love the overall color combo! At first I just wanted a plain color, but I smeared one of my nails, then of course I had to cover everything else with crack :)

Zoya Nina w/ China Glaze 2030 Dots

This mani turned out way better than I expected! At first I wanted to try Zoya Nina from their Vibe Collection because it was the only brown polish I had. I didn't really care for it from looking at the bottle, & I did not like it at all on my nails! The clean up process was a bit troublesome since the brown stained a little -__- I then added China Glaze 2030 from their Khrome Collection & my nails were starting to look better! To finish it off, I added China Glaze Matte Magic & love love love the turn out! I'm still on the search for a lighter shade of brown.

China Glaze Mistletoe Kisses

Another green mani... this is China Glaze Mistletoe Kisses from their Naughty and Nice Holiday collection with $OPI Only Gold For Me on top. That green is my absolute second favorite out of the collection, next to Party Hearty. This polish is an emerald green color, packed with lots of micro glitters. You must click Read more » to see the second picture. It is Mistletoe Kisses without a top coat, & you can see the micro glitters up close, + how gritty it looks. Not the best picture, but it looks way better IRL.

Craving Little Lucca

Good morning all! This blog entry has been sitting in my drafts for about four months. Whoops! Just looking back at this picture makes me crave for a Little Lucca (South San Francisco) sandwich! The picture below is only half of the sandwich, it's about the size of my forearm. *drools*

Salami w/ Pepper Jack Cheese on Dutch Crunch

Let me stop procrastinating & get ready for school. After that... nail polish shopping & chicken wings! Good combo! Have a good day, everyone :)

China Glaze Recycle + crack

I let the MUA board pick a mani for me the other night & I chose the ones I haven't taken pictures of. One NBer chose Recycle & another chose Crushed Candy, so I combined the two. Came out pretty nice! The overall mani is three coats of China Glaze Recycle from their Ecollection with China Glaze Crushed Candy from the Crackle Collection on top. I love Recycle, it was one of the few China Glaze I first ordered online.

NOTD: LA Girls Palm Tree + more

I wore this mani last week as one the many greens for this month. At first, I didn't remember if this was the LA Colors polish or China Glaze Four Leaf Clover. I wore them one after another & thought they were a bit similar, but thanks to MUA, I confirmed everything ^___^ This mani is three coats of LA Colors Palm Tree from their Color Craze line. A very gorgeous color for only $1, what a deal =) The application went on smoothly, actually most polishes from their Color Craze line are lovely.

& Tried the fimo canes out, since the SO used to nag me about all the nail stuff I don't use xP Came out pretty! Just a bit awkward feeling, haha. This combo actual looks perfect for the first day of spring, which is today (if I can post by midnight)! However since I used Wet & Wild Clear Nail Protector as my TC, & dry time took forever I just ripped them off. Ha. I'm in need for another bottle of Seche Vite!

w/ Flower Fimo Cane

After ripping of the flowers, I hid all the dents with crack. I used China Glaze Broken Hearted from their Crackle Collection. They're the best to hide whatever mistakes you make.
