NOTD: China Glaze Spontaneous

A purple to end the month of February! For this mani, I used China Glaze Spontaneous. Isn't this color lovely? A perfect color for spring! I tried to capture the actual color of this polish, but my flash was a bit harsh. Can you believe I used 5 coats for this polish! Haha, one or two coats would have been fine. I was on the computer as I was doing my nails & I didn't have my top coat with me, so I kept getting little mistakes x.x

Random Disney Munchies

I wish I could of eaten more things at Disneyland or California's Adventure, but everything is so expensive!  Here are a few pictures that just screamed "Disney" to me. Hehe. My must have and my favorite item at Disneyland is the Dole Whip Float from the Tiki Juice Room in Adventureland! Love pineapple over pineapple! & So refreshing on a hot day! Can't wait for the next time I will encounter this delightful treat! Hopefully in the summer time. *cross fingers*

Happy Valentine Day + NOTD

Happy Valentines Day! I hope everyone is enjoying this day with their special someone or just good company, whether in person or in spirit =] Anyways, the color pink is not my cup of tea, so the only times I would consider painting a complete pink mani is during January & February. Ha, it'll be impossible to attempt to use all the pink polishes I have. Oh, & the reds too! For this mani, I used three coats of China Glaze Second Hand Silk & placed heart stickers on top. I could have got away with two coats of SHS, but I always favor three & the heart stickers came with a bottle of Seche Vite I purchased last year.

& Does this picture look weird? I made picture upside down, lol.

Vanilla Butter Cream & Toasted Coconut Flakes

The SO & I did a Pre-Valentine scavenger hunt yesterday. The first prize was a dinner for two, roses, and two free pictures! Second prize was a Hello Kitty pinata filled with candy and Hello Kitty goodies. We weren't even close to winning, lol, but we had fun running around Japantown for two hours. We also got free strawberry covered chocolate flavored mochi at one of the station.  & Dolci Bar also sold cupcakes there & I had one! Anyways, the whole point of the scavenger hunt was my attempt to get free Pika Pika pictures. Hehe, I love purikura (photo booths)! & Especially when they're 50% off :) Today was just like any other day, nail polishes + food w/ the SO ^___^ He helped me make spicy tofu soup :)

Lunar New Year @ Disneyland!

Here are some pictures from my birthday getaway @ Disneyland! :) We went during the best time ever! DLR had a "Happy Lunar New Year Festival" event for their Family Fun Weekends & I was able to see some of the characters in Asian costumes! My fave! ^___^

Family Fun Weekends!

Came during the right weekend :)

Although, it would be awesome to experience all of those events! Esp, Character Fan Days. They brought out all the Seven Dwarfs! @__@

Asian Minnie & Mickey Mouse!

Wish I captured all the animals, but at least I got mine! :)

Year of the Rabbit

&& For now, I won't be updating as much as I would like. My laptop pretty much gave up on me, so I don't have a place to upload all my pictures & edit them. Boo. I will try my best to edit my photos when I'm at the SO's house.

NOTD: Anklets of Amethysts

Sooo, I just celebrated my birthday at "The Happiest Place on Earth" this past weekend! :) That's why I've been so MIA & whatnot. Planning is not my thing, since I did everything so last minute. I had fun though :) Anyways... my nails from last week.

The birthstone for February is an Amethyst (& of course, my birthstone) & lucky me, I have a polish with that name! ^__^V  I used China Glaze Anklets of Amethysts. From looking at the bottle, it looks like a really shimmer purple, but upon apply it on my nails, it was a whole different story! Since this polish is really opaque, I put three coats in attempt to match the bottle color, & got a purple with a hint of pink for the finishing color. It didn't quite match the bottle, but it was still very pretty & matches the color of an amethysts stone though! I used OPI Black Shatter from the Katy Perry collection for the overall look, but I only applied it right before I removed this mani because I wanted to see what it looked like. It came out really nice, but I wanted new colors on my nails. Haha. It probably would have looked better with a top coat, too.

Anklets of Amethysts w/ Black Shatter on top

It was a bit difficult trying to capture the other color this polish brings out during different lighting.
